When is the most recent time you found facts/data at odds with your beliefs, and this caused you to change your mind?

Earlier this year I found out that the CDC lied about there being a shortage of respirators available during the pandemic. Long story short, this confirmed that they were actually making decisions to make the pandemic worse, rather than to try to end the pandemic.
I no longer support the US because of this and many other causes. Now I support a revolution in the US.

That article is about violence. I don't want violence, I want a non-violent revolution.
@Pat Too late. America is very well armed and addicted to anger. It may start off as a non-violent revolution, but it will be near impossible to contain, sadly. In principle, the system can change peacefully, eg, by amending the constitution. I'm not holding my breath. The Equal Rights Amendment came close back in the 1970s, but ultimately came to naught.
As I said, I don't like violence, however, you need to remember that whatever comes to pass, if the new guys kill fewer than a million Americans they're doing better than the regime we have now.
