I am getting pretty tired of living surrounded by constant construction. This last year has been legitimately worse than living in zone 2. Every time one neighbour’s project finishes the next cranks into action. Crane or mixer deliveries at or before 8am are not the fucking one.
I get they have to work where the light is in winter but tell me why builders still have to start and knock off early in summer ffs.

You didn't mention what country you are in - many countries have regulations about what time noisy work may start and/or finish but it is normally up to the "victim" to register a complaint with the relevant authorities before the they will take action!
@Paulos_the_fog London’s Waltham Forest don’t have a functional noise complaints team. They might send a letter, but they do zero enforcement visits at the time the problem occurs.
Having lived in both Newham and Tower Hamlets previously who both have a rigorous noise complaints team, this abdication was a bit of a shock.
