I'm at a bioinformatics event and the perennial questions i have are
1) How does this actually serve the end users, usually patients? Or does this only serve the hospital, the insurance company, the vendor?
2)
In your desire for diversity in the data set are you only extracting more data from underserved communities where the benefit will never be returned to them?

I think you should state at the beginning of your post that you are in the USA - most of the rest of the civilized world has healthcare that serves the patients not the shareholders of obscenely profitable health insurers!
