Okay let’s play this game:
— Drivers must carry insurance
— Drivers must pass safety/skill tests
— Each car has a unique vehicle identification number (VIN) that allows it to be tracked
So let’s pass all the same rules for guns
In most countries, selling what amounts to military style assault rifles to members of the public is rightly, forbidden. If you obtain your hunting permit, that enables you to buy shotguns and bolt action rifles suitable for hunting wild boar and deer but NOT an AR15.
Small calibre high velocity weapons like the AR15 are not considered to be suitable for hunting and are thus not permitted as they have no legitimate use other than what they are designed for; killing people!
If you are into target shooting, then you may get a permit for a target rifle or pistol but they will be of the specific type used for target shooting, agaIn, NOT an AR15
