There's something I don't understand in this article,
allegedly, there were posters on the wall in radiology giving the times for results to be returned:
"A teacher from the north-east who asked not to be named said she borrowed £350 for an MRI scan. 'At the appointment, there were posters on the walls stating times for the return of results: three days for private, three weeks for NHS.' ".
I live in Luxembourg where I have needed (unfortunately) numerous CT scans and more recently an MRI scan. In every case. after the radiologist has done his thing which takes from 20 to 40 minutes, I am presented with a DVD containing the images from the CT scan or MRI scan along with the radiologists report.
If they can do it in a maximum of 40 minutes here, how come it takes a minimum of 3 days in the UK and that's only if you go private!
The tory scum really are absolute Nazis!
Oh come on - all they'd have to do is to increase the dose a bit to make all refugees permanently sterile - now that really is killing two birds with one stone, eh!
Seriously though - I would maintain that forcing unnecessary and potentially harmful medical treatment on to refugees is an assault contrary to common law and a fully valid reason for the staff involved to be struck off their respective professional body's medical register.
"NHS staff should boycott Suella Braverman’s controversial plans to X-ray child migrants to check if they have lied about their age, a health chief has warned."

It’s clear #PrinceHarry believes he’s on a mission to say that the #tabloids must be held to some degree of accountability & that they should have a better relationship with the truth. You may disagree with how he’s going about it but the mission in itself seems honourable to me.

@markoftheD@twitter.com Cameron. Triggered the referendum, made it advisory against all advice to the contrary (making it impossible to overturn despite Leave breaking rules), ran a seriously lack-lustre campaign to Remain (possibly on purpose), then walked away from his mess, singing to himself.

I'm likewise a T2 Diabetic but I live in Luxembourg. The difference here is that at the pharmacy the till ticket shows the retail cost of the medication then the cost I have to pay (with most diabetes medication that is 0.00€). If I had to pay for the 4 drugs I have to take myself, it would cost me 100s of Euros a month
Palm Oil in Vegan Food
...but vegan products are often packed full of this, and that's if they're not full of soy you can't trace the provenance of. By all means reduce your environmental impact through dietary changes, but I must say most of the pre-prepared vegan foods I've found do nothing of the sort, they merely replace one unsustainable form of diet with another, and they're the very antithesis of any kind of holistic, sustainable approach to diet. Palm oil is the clear indicator of this.
Yeah - sack all the nurses - sack all the doctors - sack all the ambulance drivers - sack all the train drivers - sack all the striking bastards so that the country absolutely won't run anymore!
Then the population can get in small boats and flee to the nearest civilized country, namely France where they can can declare themselves as refugees from a murderous and tyrannical regime. The French of course being decent and welcoming people will welcome them with open arms and settle them in France and the tory scum will have what they always wanted, a massive, empty grouse moor.

For anyone who is interested, my header photo is of the most stupendous sunset I have ever seen. On the right is the waterfront of Vientiane, the capital of Laos, on the left is Thailand and in the middle, acting as the border between the two countries is the mighty Mekong river.
