Atheist; loathe almost all religions and pity the people deluded enough to follow them. I make exceptions for Buddhism as it isn't really a religion in the strictest sense of the word as it doesn't postulate the existence of any god, and Jainism which is the epitome of peace.
For anyone who is interested, my header photo is of the most stupendous sunset I have ever seen. On the right is the waterfront of Vientiane, the capital of Laos, on the left is Thailand and in the middle, acting as the border between the two countries is the mighty Mekong river.

What is the problem with sex education? Even as Christians, sex is part of who we are: It is how we procreate, and contrary to some prudish beliefs, it is meant to be fun! That is unless #God made a mistake in creating glans, clitorises, erogenous zones, and orgasms!

I just want to be a citizen of a normal European country.
I don't want:
- the monarchy.
- the house of lords.
- the FPTP electoral system.
- the archaic practices of the house of commons.
- the criminally corrupt tory party.
- the timid and complacent labour party.
I especially don't want #brexit, which was inflicted on Scotland against its will.

Feels like the freedom to not get shot for ringing the wrong doorbell and the freedom to not live in so much fear that you shoot anyone who rings your doorbell would be exponentially more valuable than the freedom to own guns.

I served as a Minister in 3 Govt Depts. I never came across “activist civil servants” w “passive - aggressive tactics” wanting to block Govt policy. Everyone I worked with was a hard working, public servant.

@Paulos_the_fog It’s neither a fair nor sensible comparison. You’re comparing a country of 940,000 square miles with one of 930 square miles and one of 67 million people with a country of 650,000 supplemented by 75% on private insurance. So what.
