Unconditional basic income is a human right, crucial for self-determination and freedom from coercion. It's immoral to coerce actions by withholding basic needs like food. UBI offers restitution for private property created without compensation for the loss of our access to land.

The fact that politicians are still going on about "Brexit" and BBC news website has a whole "Brexit" category of news is a clear signal that something is badly wrong with the whole project.
If it had been a sensible idea, the UK would have been outside the EU for 4 years now. The "exit" would be over, and being outside the EU would be the new normal, not an ongoing emergency that still needs a name and whole political parties centred around it.

What's going on with foreign direct investment (FDI) into the UK?
Measured by 'flows' UK has gone from FDI of 9.6% GDP to - 2.3% in 2021; a flow of capital out of the country.
But, our 'stock' of FDI remains largely unchanged over the same period.
So, while new #investment in the UK has stagnated, disinvestment has not (as yet at least) taken place.
Analysts suggests a key impediment to FDI is uncertainty... a few years of #Torychaos on economic policies & strategies has taken its toll!
