I'm considering getting a Marin Fairfax 1 bike for commuting. I live in a pretty hilly area and this seems like it should be able to handle that, plus fit my budget. I'm planning on adding a bike rack in the back for errands and such. Are there any other modifications that I should do? Thoughts on step-through vs not?

@debianpowers sweet bike. Lights, fenders, rack and panniers (if you carry anything on your back you’ll get sweaty real fast). Always carry a spare inner tire, tire levers and a pump, and buy a bigger floor pump for your home. Also learn when to clean and lube the chain and how to check when your breakpads are worn out.
