Just a bit :salt: right now, for no reason my laptop now no longer wants to boot Ubuntu.

Time to try something different. Gonna dive into the world of #Manjaro :manjaro: and give it a go.

@matt That's a fine reason to do some distrohopping. You could take a deep dive into the world of troubleshooting, but then you wouldn't find out what Manjaro has to offer. Eventually though, once you've been hopping around enough, it's about time to do some troubleshooting too and find out what it takes to stay with the distro you like the most.

@PunaisetPimpulat I spoke too soon. It was some random BIOS setting that I flipped that I forgot to unflip. Now it boots again.

/facepalm

But if Kubuntu keeps being problematic on this laptop, I will be trying others.

(My main tower will remain :debian: Debian Stable though 🏋️‍♂️ )

@matt Debian is one of my long time favorites. Currently, I have two Fedora computers, but I have been thinking of switching one these back to Debian. Would be nice to know what's going on in both distributions.

@PunaisetPimpulat I REALLY love Debian Stable on my desktop. Throw in backported kernel + drivers, flatpaks and snaps for your up-to-date applications, and XFCE (or i3 or similar) and you are set.
