Ugh...
1) I missed putting the hash-tags where they'll actually get used.
2) I need to take a look at MC 1.19.3 while I'm waiting on the compile.
3) I should likely see what plugins may be out-of-date while I'm at it.
I'd really *REALLY* prefer to not have to do this, just be a player and enjoy. Unfortunately, my wife has panic and anxiety disorder, and dealing with people sometimes is just too much for her. And also... to some extent managing my own server is self-defense against admin abuse from other servers. It's one reason I very briefly considered starting my own Mastodon instance, but the requirement of a fixed IP made that an "aw hell no."
I'm glad I have a home here. I really don't want to have to do more than what I'm already not doing well enough.

Shutting down our small server, making a backup, upgrading SpigotMC, making certain the backup actually *WORKS* on my machine at home.
It's a tiny server among friends, but as I have the "admin guy" title, it's still something I have to take seriously. I can do no other.

I understand why your getting cranky, and so far youve been walking the line so as not to be outright hateful or rude, so id say your good, even if it may be slightly counter productive here.
In reality he is doing the same, being emotional and engaging the nonsense and just pretending all the facts were never utttered...

No his posts are biased towards the **facts**.. my writeup included links and screenshots of proof, dallas talked out of his ass with no evidence of any kind... very different things.
Lets not forget, i have proven quite clearly dallas's stance is a direct result of being manipulated by a Nazi who wanted that very outcome... him, and by extension you, are unknowingly subscribing to the agenda of a Nazi... that says a lot.

even if a software was written by hitler himself it would be just a tool.
in any case i think things need to be called out as what they are, lies and diffamation campaigns. this bullshit in the name of equality and justice is getting out of hand.

I made sweet, sweet love to my wife this morning.
By that, I mean I did the small bit of dishes in the sink I intended (but forgot) to do up last night. I wanted her to be able to wake up this morning to "art studio" kitchen being ready for her Masterpiece of a Thanksgiving Dinner for her son and both of us.
I have this koan in my head: "If you do not tell her in the small things that you love her, how will she know you really mean it in the big things?"
She is worthy!

More over, the fact that i used a web page that happened to use a tool that was authored by a kiwifarms user is unfortunate.. but that was completely unknown to me. It was a list sitting on a website somewhere, I didn't think much of it.

@dichotomiker @freemo Nazis didn't persecute only jews. They persecuted and killed people that didn't think the way they did. Even people of their own nationality! They didn't care about the truth. Eugene and his staff show the same behaviour when they block people without given them any justification and the chance to defend themselves. I'm not saying he is a Nazi. I'm saying he isn't fair nor honest in the way he deals with others.

Americans, please think tomorrow of all the critical workers, operators, staff in emergency & hospitals & police & even designated retail (did you know Best Buy is designated critical as it sells appliances like refrigerators?) — they will be working while you eat & party & put up with Uncle Bob tomorrow, on Thanksgiving. My husband (large regional hospital/trauma center operator) will be one of those grabbing a quick yogurt instead of celebrating. Light a candle for them all & raise a glass.

Honestly, I probably would have disengaged from the Fediverse/Mastoverse a long time ago - or at best had a mostly dormant account (like I do on the birdsite) - because of stuff like this, if not for #QOTO.
To my knowledge, this is the instance that comes closest to having the culture that Hacker News wants to have:

@mikmaqpeek played a video about a husband complaining to his wife threatening to send her to cooking classes. She threatened sending him to handyman's classes. I only heard it, but I didn't really find it funny, just kinda sad. So I found and read the engineering husband joke linked to above. She chuckled, and I then explained...
I try very hard not to complain, and I know I don't show appreciation as much as I should. I'm working on it. But the joke has struck a chord in me, if I cook breakfast for lunch or dinner, I just really want that and I don't want to be that guy in that joke. I love her, and I want my wife to have wings.

I was blessed two have two separate experiences with the bison of Elk Island National Park on a Saturday afternoon in October. This beautiful beast was the last thing I saw on my way out of the park, and it was an honor to watch him. I only stayed a few minutes to keep my intrusion into his space to a minimum. What a day!
