I've written a lot about that dreadful Science news piece on the Sabel et al fake paper "detector" that has a 37% false positive rate and actually just checks to see if the authors use private email addresses, are affiliated with a hospital, and don't have international coauthors.

Together with that, the writers put out a longer article, 'Mastodon over Mammon', that explains the argument in greater detail, and is worth reading.

It's now legal in Florida to deny someone medical care or insurance coverage because you don't approve of their sexual or gender identity.
