The more you know: California residents can get an account at ANY California library. Why is this great? It means you can access all of the libraries' #ebooks. When there's a waiting list at one library, sometimes there's no wait (or a shorter wait) at another one.

A terrifying bill was just dropped in the late night hours in Oklahoma that would medically detransition all trans people up to age 26.

I called this would happen months ago - states are moving towards outright elimination.

It's possible the fascists just don't understand how the debt ceiling works, and that's why they want the US to default.

It's possible.

But remember, the nazis voted to dissolve the Reichstag. A defaulted government is easier to control, and people in the midst of economic crisis are more vulnerable and thus easier for the cult-like fascists to recruit. Fascists don't want government to function until they've taken over.

So don't assume it's ignorance.

@peedee Yes, there's a really huge reason that those who are *not* members of marginalized groups DO grow to be more in accord with the status quo.

If you're not experiencing the barriers to survival that those in marginalized groups do, in ADDITION to whatever general life struggles, you're a lot less likely to even perceive that the system is unjust and harmful.

In that situation, it's standard to simply double down on the status quo.
