When I was a little boy, the Japanese military attacked Pearl Harbor. It was a surprise attack, and thousands of U.S. servicemembers perished. As a nation, we were stunned. And we vowed to strike back. Revenge was understandably on everyone’s mind, including many Americans of Japanese descent who opposed the emperor and were peaceful and law-abiding U.S. citizens and residents. /1

The last person, raised by parents who knew a little of real science is crying. They have been arguing with their peers for hours but no one believes any of it. If anyone other than Trump had voluntarily given away nuclear sub secrets (number of nuke warheads, detection distances) like he reportedly has done -- to ANYONE, even if not a foreign national as in this case -- the leaker would be shackled in an isolation cell and that would be treating them far too nicely.

Bailouts for banks? Fine! Tax cuts for the rich? Sure thing! $800B for the military? No problem! Student debt relief for middle-class and working Americans? But... but... how will we ever pay for it?

This article is a reminder that Tesla is no closer than any other company to automated driving (and indeed they might be farther behind), they're just far more aggressive in their marketing and deployment of unreliable beta tech.
