I could take more seriously the concerns about the CO Supreme Court decision taking away the voters ability to decide if those critics weren’t also:

-creating voting maps that violate the constitution and Voting Rights Act

-purging voter rolls

-passing voter suppression laws

-undermining ballot initiatives that allow citizens to vote on reproductive healthcare

-seeking to disenfranchise millions of voters in 2020

In the US, copyright exists "to promote the progress of science and useful arts" and was originally 14 years the the option to renew for 14 more years.
