Mourning doves were not among the more exotic #birds I saw at Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge, but they sure look lovely bathed in golden light. #BirdPhotography

@ct_bergstrom Great picture! I’m embarrassed to say, I always thought they were called morning doves. I guess they are named after that teardrop looking spot under the eye?
