My toot was primarily a somewhat sarcastic critique of that kind of overly specific, easily disproven prediction that frequently get made to rally/alarm the public,and draw a contrast between that and reality.
(There was an article I saw shared on the fediverse toward the end of 2019 with that claim, though I haven't been able to find it on checking briefly today.)

@SecondJon Well news media isnt helping any with their click baity stories. While the truth is that climate change **is** very real and very serious no one would ever make a claim like "It is impossible for it to snow after new years according to science", obviously.
