Does anyone’s car use to have this [ service engine soon] light on issue?
Mine used to have this light on. After I check the video on YTB to how to turn it off.
Now is on again. I use the same method as last time (wait for 3 seconds and press the gas pedal for 5 times…)
This time this light became stable after flash. I have tried twice.
Some people online said can be a lot of reasons cause this light on. For example：Gasoline cap did not close well .
Is this a big problem?
@Sphinx This is a warning that there's something wrong with the vehicle. The same light might come on, and be a minor problem, or it really could be indicating something that could destroy vital parts.
Reading the code with an appropriate tool, and looking up the result code in a service manual for the vehicle is the proper way to handle it. DON'T simply ignore or reset it -- you might regret later.
