It’s important that everyone on Mastodon not only post links to news sites, but that they also click through to them. When you click through from Mastodon, they will see that Mastodon is driving traffic. News sites are driven by ad traffic and ad revenues are driven by eyeballs. Click away!!
@SpinozasHeresy @drewharwell yes. And when sharing, clicking a Mastodon share link on the news site’s page will also be tracked, and they’ll see that engaging here matters, both to them and us.
