UK Budget

So Hunt promised an extra £3 billion for the NHS as if he was being very generous.

Correct me if I've misunderstood something, but isn't that a massively below inflation increase, and therefore a real terms cut?

@statsguy It's never easy to keep track when the same thing can be announced several times over, but yes, it appears that way.

And tomorrow we'll probably be told that NHS staff can't be given a decent pay rise because budgets are too tight.
