@mels I don't really agree on Duckduckgo and Telegram. For a little more privacy Duckduckgo is better but in the end it uses Google's data so if Google cencors something Duckduckgo will do it too. So using anonym accounts and cookie deleters would make it harder to collect your datas. In Telegram, Telegram isn't OSS and doesn't have crypted chats unless it's private and also they say they don't keep the datas but they do and give them to governments and etc.
@Squirrel@qoto.org @squirrel Duckduckgo uses yandex's data as far as I know. Startpage, on the other hand, uses Google's data. But they both don't track your data and make you anonimous.
I totally agree you when it comes to Telegram. That,s why I changed it into Molly, which is on F-droid. It is a hardened version of Signal which doesn't use Google proprietary. You can check:
