I need someone to explain to me why it’s always “if you can’t pay rent, buy fewer lattes and avocado toasts” and not “if you can’t pay your employees a living wage, buy fewer yachts and real estate”.
Explain it to me like I’m in kindergarten.

@Strandjunker It was explained to me in Kindergarten! Rich people are your betters; they are 'the great and good'. They deserve to have all that they want. You are not like that. You are lucky to have the crumbs from their plate. Now, let us sing "All Things Bright and Beautiful", including the verse which tells us that the Lord God made the rich man in his castle and the poor man at his gate (that's you). Just be grateful, it's expected from you. And all said with a straight face.
