This beautiful, shimmering bronze creature with the creamy markings on its wings is Dewick's Plusia, Macdunnoughia confusa. It's one of the many "Noctuid" moths sometimes known as "owlets" and is a rare visitor from the Continent where it is fairly widespread. Related to the Burnished Brass, Silver Y, and Ni Moth.
@sciencebase Moths metallicae, although I'm not sure it's the Nickel Moth.
@sciencebase I feel sure there is a rusty summat but I suppose it's not metallic really.
