I had another go at a mineral moon, this time with the 94% illuminated waxing gibbous hanging in the sky this evening (#spoilerAlert the full moon is at the weekend)

@sciencebase Interesting that there's not a lot of Ca oxides in the mix.
@SteelFolk Lots of other minerals mentioned on the Wikipedia entry many of which are calcium rich and abundant

...presumably a lot more within the mass of the moon just not on the surface?
