@Liesbeth_Smit A message sent to make the sender feel better rather than any other purpose, perhaps.
@effinbirds Considering their rather querulous expression, I've noted a lack of quail whinging about their lot in life and how everyone else is to blame for it.
@sciencebase Harsh moth criticism, I feel. No wonder if waits until dark in your garden. You big bully.
@Frances_Coppola Look at them lashing out at Edgbaston. AUS are all out on the rope but they'll have skulduggery in mind. I bet they're all on benefits by the end of the match too.
@Frances_Coppola Of course, any suggestion that we were still in the process with The Ashes is ridiculous.
My new Coppola Comment post considers #inflation as a grieving process. https://coppolacomment.substack.com/p/inflation-and-grief
@sciencebase I came up to the study, filled with Perfect Plug, poured a large scotch and settled down to see sonnets to hairstreaks. But...God, none to be found!! It's a poor do when you have to put on "Seconds Out" to fill the time it takes to smoke a bowl of this stuff.
@sciencebase I never saw the post somehow, but yes I do.
Claims of giving up on 1.5C climate target are becoming more frequent these days.
If your home is small islands and low-lying coastal developing states, commitment on 1.5C is a matter of survival.
(And yes, I mean those especially vulnerable to #climatechange who have done the least to cause it.)
Efforts to fail the global warming targets of the Paris Agreement, including inaction, is approval of climate mass atrocity crimes.
@sciencebase It was The Popular Kitten. At a time of silly names for pubs knocked up in the 1970s that served freezing lager in vases.
@sciencebase There was a pub called after it when I was, er, about 15. Gone now but best known to locals for having the U missing on its sign.

@sciencebase It's fascinating stuff. Probably more so if you know FA. I don't suppose they ovulate like humans but get the impression more like sperm production and they can get 'full' eventually, with an urge to lay the eggs.
@tinebeest It would be interesting to see a reason why 'unfortunately' a conference has to be in person. But that's not the way many people think.
