It's 2019. Stop top-posting in email please. Reply to the bits that you mean to and keep it short.

AKA stop letting Google tell you how to communicate.

Like top-posting and replying to an email in mass fills up your inbox ridiculously over time. It's like repeating the whole conversation over and over. It's not gone - it's still in there.

@jalcine The only thing clean and organized in my life is my inbox. Literally the only thing.

@Surasanji @jalcine Maybe that's because keeping an inbox organized takes all of a persons waking hours.

@alienghic @Surasanji Not really. I have quite a few aggressive filters. It's hard to surface an email to my attention.

@alienghic @jalcine I, too, am a fan of aggressive filtering. The initial time to set them up is an annoyance, but the time saved afterwards is gold.

@Surasanji @jalcine

I have a big sieve rule tree to file mailing lists into a bunch of folders. But then I forget to ever look in the folders...

I kind of wish I had a virtual folder where I could aggregate different kinds of important mail.

I also probably need some background mail agents that process incoming transaction emails (Like alerts from banks or shipping companies)

Also I really want a filter that highlights replies to a message I contributed to in a mailing list folder.
