Mental Health
@SquidPresident@cryptids.online sounds like you did right by this student to me.
It's important for people with mental health issues to develop healthy coping strategies to try and be part of the real world.
My boss is pretty forgiving of my bipolar issues, and I felt comfortable telling him about them specifically because of people like yourself. People who, when I was younger, saw that I had some kind of difficulty and were kind.
@Mrfunkedude Sit on my faaaace and tell me that you love me~ I'll sit on your face and tell you I love yooooou too~
@Surasanji
An old joke... Since Pro is the opposite of Con, Progress can be defined as the opposite of Congress.
I feel like progress is a purely subjective (I read this as "nearly useless") term unless the aim, goal, or endpoint is clearly defined. Everyone is progressing toward something, whether they know what it is, or not. I think we ought to all be thinking about where our ideas lead and be less eager to move toward those ends until we have tried to understand where we're headed.
What's progress to "progressives" is regress to others. I guess I'm just not sure it's a very useful term and think it's often a label to prevent the need for thinking about the ultimate end of our trajectory.
@Ophillous I got me a Hoop Snake as big as a WHAAAAALE! c
alcohol mention
@Ophillous I also keep some 100% drinking alcohol under the sink. In case I need to Molotov cocktail style burn down someone in a tank.
alcohol mention
@Ophillous If you're looking for suggestions on alcohol to keep around the house, generally, I'm a fan of many different kind of whiskeys. I only drink Scotch straight (well, almost straight- a bit of cold water really improves the flavor, imho)
I prefer to mix my Ryes and bourbons. Usually with some cola, coffee, tea, or fruit juices. For me Rye is only SLIGHTLY better than Bourbon.
alcohol mention
@Ophillous coffee can work in a pinch as well, but you'd probably want to switch the honey for sugar in that case.
Likewise, if you don't mind warming up something like apple juice you can add your preferred whiskey to it with some honey and a touch of cinnamon for a nice wintery/cold-friendly treat.
AGain, I prefer whiskey as my hard liquor of choice, but you can also use vodka or another neutral grain spirit if you prefer.
alcohol mention
@Ophillous A touch of whiskey in tea. I prefer Rye, but whichever you prefer. Add honey to taste. I tend to do about 10-15% Whiskey to hot water/honey/tea. :)

We've come full circle. As they said in the famous movie Rejected:
