Their willingness to censor the internet and to prosecute people over what would have been completely legal just a day before that shooting incident goes to show that NZ is a pretty shitty place for data security.

@usermeme @TheGnuMaster Maybe don't use MEGA as a primary backup for important/sensitive material but it's still cheap and convenient to use. Among the better options out there.
Yep, it's controlled by the NZ government. Not exactly the most trustworthy entity in terms of internet freedom.
I would avoid MEGA.
