Fascism is always grounded in the concept of "othering" our neighbors and community members. We are currently watching as the most anti-LGBTQ+ bills are put forward and passed in 60+ years. Soon, they'll have to wear something marking them as members of that community. The last time things like this happened in history, those within the LGBTQ+ community were forced to wear pink triangles and Jews were forced to wear yellow stars. This is not hyperbole, look at what's happening around you. History is repeating itself as we look on disguised as protecting children or invoking perceived freedoms while stripping others of theirs. https://kolektiva.social/@WhiteRoseWillametteValley/109717243954166208
