Moldova denied a Russian citizen entry after discovering evidence that he had fought against Ukraine, including photos on his phone that suggested he had taken part in the capture of Mariupol and Volnovakha. The Russian had intended to enter the unrecognized Transnistria region, but during the interview with the border police, he was found to be confused and attempting to mislead the inspectors. As a result, the Moldovan border guards refused the Russian entry and sent him back home.
