Kyiv law enforcement has detained a fraudster who misused funds from a foreign volunteer organization. The suspect had ordered military ammunition supposedly for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and sent false payment receipts as proof of payment. This resulted in the volunteer fund being defrauded of nearly half a million hryvnias. If convicted, the offender could face up to eight years in prison.
