Russian propagandists have falsely claimed that the NATO Alliance is using the Azov and Kraken battalions to suppress protests in France, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ). The propagandists have referred to a supposedly official page of the Alliance, which purportedly contains a statement from NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. However, this information is false and the purported official NATO page is fake, the statement said. The propagandists are attempting to discredit the Armed Forces, specifically the Azov and Kraken military formations, and bolster their argument that Ukraine is a puppet of the Alliance, which it uses for its own purposes.
