The Commission's inspection revealed that 15% of all bridges in the capital are in a state of disrepair, with the Metro and Paton bridges being particularly at risk of collapse due to intense destruction of the protective layer of concrete, corrosion, visible locks, and destruction of reinforcement on the Paton Bridge, and intense metal corrosion on the structure and unprotected metal beams on the Metro Bridge.
