At least 2,442 Ukrainian children have been taken to Belarus since the beginning of full-scale invasion.
These children (between the ages of 6 and 17) have been deported to at least 13 facilities in Belarus. They underwent a process of "re-education", where they were propagandized with cultural, historical, social, and patriotic ideas that "meet the political interests" of the regimes in Belarus and Russia. Some of the children have undergone military training, including at the internal security bases in Belarus.
This is stated in a study from Yale School of Public Health’s Humanitarian Research Lab (HRL), which found that the displacement of Ukrainian children was directly coordinated by Oleksandr Lukashenko and Russian President Vladimir Putin with "support from the intelligence agencies of Russia and Belarus."
The report emphasizes that the deportation of Ukrainian children to Belarus and Russia as well as their "re-education" are systematic things.
