The post box outside my daughter’s London flat is looking splendid, sporting a new coat of paint. This means the view from her 1st floor (2nd floor in USA terminology) kitchen is improved; from this window she looks down onto the post box, & before its repaint the top was covered in bird-poo as there is a beautiful tree right next to it. Last time I visited, I bought a wire brush, donned a mask & scrubbed the top removing all the droppings to improve her aerial view. I was a bit scared, I admit, that I’d be arrested for “defacing His Majesty’s post box” so I did it after dusk!
