@therealtomtom @academicchatter I think it's important to identify and be explicit about what promotes students' sense of belonging.
There is lots to be said about representation (i.e. other students, staff, teachers/faculty look like me and share my background)
There is lots to be said about being seen in curriculum.
There is lots to be said about learning things that matter to the students' community.
There is lots to be said about students' funds of knowledge, and their being positioned and knowers in classrooms.
