Don't think I have seen anyone on here talking about this article on the increasingly untenable state of Ph.D. preparation
An interesting piece in light of some recent conversations about academia, industry, and Ph.Ds.
Especially interesting for me in light of the significant raise that University of California graduate students received as a result of their recent strike which will likely result in a significant reduction in Ph.D. admits into the system.
