I am deeply skeptical of any narrative that suggests pandemic #LearningLoss is an actual phenomenon and not just a means to continue to degrade US public #education.

AI services like ChatGPT hide copyright infringement by keeping their information sources a trade secret. Transparency would provide evidence that could be used in a lawsuit. Microsoft and OpenAI told a court to dismiss a lawsuit (for their unlicensed use of open source code from Github) because nobody could prove they had standing - were personally infringed. Microsoft is devouring the whole Internet for ChatGPT and keeping it confidential.
