@gotofritz@fosstodon.org I think there's a huge distinction between Marx's theoretical communism and 20th century regimes that considered themselves communist. But it's ambiguous what "communism" or "Marxism" is referring to without agreeing on semantics for the sake of discussion. A lot of people would rather torpedo discussion by bogging it down in semantic ambiguity.
