@freemo Concerning rate-limited problems, it seems it might have been partly my fault.
I use uMatrix, and had the log open when i saw (first picture) quite a lot of requests fly by while not actively using a mastodon tab.
So i closed some left over tabs (opened to maybe read later, that stuff), and the barrage subsided.

It seems the browser tabs all send lots of requests, even if inactive / in the background.

Since my development experience is strictly backend (if i see javascript or derivatives, i run) i have no idea how realistic it would be to get this under control. For the time being, i will be more watchful to close unneeded tabs and report back if the rate-limited problems subside. So far, i did not see another message.
