So what's new in german politics? Nothing fundamental i would say.
We had CDU (neoliberals purporting to be conservative) mostly, and when they mess up too much, the SPD (neoliberals purporting to have social values) took over. They then proceed to mess up even more (biggest blow to our social system was by them + green party) to get the CDU back on track.
Now, the AFD (neonazi party which is rather silent about also being neoliberal) won a local election, and our minister of the interior Nancy Faeser (SPD) is worried about the economy. Good job, telling people they don't matter, exactly what will drive more to vote AFD.
So, in conclusion, the SPD still works hard at passing the scepter, just this time to neoliberals that are also neonazis instead of the usual.
@amerika Oh wow, someone who is openly racist agrees that the AFD is neoliberal? Do you know a lot about them or are you rather trusting my judgement here?
I think a lot about why the AFD gets votes, since i am quite certain they will not solve any of the problems at hand, their neoliberal thinking is exactly like the partys they would replace. And i have a strong suspicion that their voters do not see that.
So any hint of what made their neoliberalism clear to you would be welcome.
"Do you know a lot about them or are you rather trusting my judgement here?"
Based on what I have seen so far, you are correct.
These are not the far-Right parties we are looking for.
Then again, neither were the National Socialists.
I agree with your second paragraph. I think this is an exercise in signaling.
Also, everyone is "racist," because that is self-preservation. Diversity is a failure.
@amerika Hmm, i was holding back on statements of where our opinions differ, but it sounds like you would be open to debate.
What makes me wonder is that you oppose neoliberalism (i agree), but search for the source of problems in diversity.
So, while most people are experiencing rising poverty, be it by stagnating wages or rising inflation, we have multinational companies with record profits. This would be why we agree that neoliberalism is a bad thing, as the needs of common people are ignored in favor of better profits for the already rich.
Now, if we can agree on this (can we?), i fail to see why you would put such an import on diversity - diverse people are not the rich people, and if your money is gone, there is no reason to look to the poor. After all, if they did it, they would not be poor anymore, would they?
Let me start with this:
There are many ways to die, and any society has multiple enemies.
Diversity kills societies. It replaces them genetically, but first it crushes their culture, and before that hands power to the parties that oppose the majority.
Neoliberalism is a waffle and therefore the worst of both worlds, but this is true of mixed economies generally.
Rising profits are occurring because of this centralization.
@amerika Well, that there can be multiple problems at once is valid.
I struggle a bit with the specifics though.
As someone who refuses to participate in the endless reproduction out of an unexplained obligation and without an actual group effort to preserve the environment for future generations, the genetics argument seems a bit alien to me. What would it matter what exact genome the people dying on an uninhabitable planet have?
Without that suicidal nature of humanity, it may be a valid point to discuss distribution of resources between groups, but as we agreed, the distribution of resources is skewed due to the neoliberal inequality anyway.
Culture, i would look into a bit more in detail. I have been harmed by my own countries culture, and ironically, the long and short of it was not holding together, instead exclusion on ridiculous reasons. Don't like some sport that is 99% for profit? Well, it was not immigrants that i had to fight off there.
What was (culture) is not a great reason for what should be. If you fared well with what was in your region, you were lucky.
On handing power to parties that oppose the majority... how would you start a thing that is already going on? They don't oppose us from different races, they oppose us from their little club. Oligarchs on a constant contest to conform to the current lobbyists wishes are not on your side, no matter if they were born in your city.
This may sound very contrary, but i do invite further discussion, i am trying to understand.
A handy resource for anything I mention: https://www.amerika.org/
I don't think we're banned in Germany, although www.anus.com was for awhile.
Is the planet really dying? I do not think so.
Even more, we can easily fix all of those problems.
Why is genetics important? First, for the same reason conservation is, and that is enough, really. But second: it is linked to culture, and culture is the only thing that staves off the overdominance of government and commerce.
I do not think we deal with enemies so much as illusions, to be honest.
The West has always destroyed itself from within, lacking any enemies (since the Mongols, really) worth keeping it on edge.
The general far-Right critique of NatSoc is this:
It is still based in the French Revolution order, i.e. big strong government replacing culture.
That they intend to use the weapon of Mordor against it is foolish.
They are too much like everything else: mixed economy, strong government, anti-culture, ideology, bureaucracy, etc.
@thatguyoverthere Yes, if said outright it would be illegal. It is a shorthand used here to describe that the AFD is eliciting hate against immigrants. A large part of their election campaign is hate-based, but just shy of openly illegal statements.
Please excuse the shorthand.
@thatguyoverthere I must admit that i did not catalogue their entire speeches and am relying mainly on their official program here to summarize.
On asylum, they say that more people are coming here and would "replace" us. They conveniently omit reasons why this happens and spin things for maximum fear. A strategy that seems to work well.
On interior politics and safety, they simply blame foreigners - how nice for german criminals to be off the hook.
On social services, they imply that immigrants would only take, despite the fact that they often are not allowed to work and would if they could.
In addition to those, they are closely related to non-official groups that get more explicit in their hate on demonstrations.
To actually understand the full scope, you need to see what effects their positions have - while they do not demand hate (at least in official documents), they sure do elicit enough fear to get people to hate.
@admitsWrongIfProven
"(neonazi party which is rather silent about also being neoliberal)"
Good synopsis.
People are slowly coming to admit that although we do not like a lot of what they did, the Confederates and Nazis were right about diversity.
It's suicide.
