@freemo I have a suspicion of csam, see quote toot.
We here in germany cannot confirm anything directly, since any ownership, even if against our wishes, would be criminal. So, it would be great if you could check out in a legal way if the suspicion is warranted and took action if it is.

@admitsWrongIfProven sure thing, ill take a look.. as you know I dont control that server.. soif it turns out to be csam my only choice will be to block the server (and I will) after giving the moderator a chance to respond and act
@admitsWrongIfProven They have auth-fetch setup... So I cant see their timeline, and someone would have to follow them and report it for me to see it and be able to act on it.
I dont really have the desire to start following them. Their rules do explicitly state that csam is not allowed, but they could just be bullshitting... sadly i cant see their timeline to confirm.
@freemo Agree, if they have they should be blocked completely. But following would not be a good choice, too much of a connection there.
I am wondering a bit about what went on there, i guess the person that reported it follows someone who leads a bit of a double life.

@admitsWrongIfProven I couldnt read the german of the person who messaged (and need to install google translat or something).. But yea i dont want to go **looking** for child porn especially if i need to follow people... I also dont want to block an instance on suspicion without some level of confirmation
@freemo Completely agree, confirmation is needed, but not at the price of following someone from that domain.
You don't need to bother translating, the only relevant pieces of information in the quote were the url and the "defederate" - we are legally forbidden from knowing if there is actual csam. Report it to police, you self-incriminate in germany.
@admitsWrongIfProven Sounds like some insanity... but then again no one bothers with much sanity when it comes to laws anymore...
@freemo "some insanity" is very mildly put. We had reporting and banning going on, then some foaming at the mouth occured (unconfirmed if personally involved), and now we have "do not report or even care" laws. Maximum insanity, i would say.
Not long ago, a teacher was convicted. She told a student to send on what was sent to another student without consent to judge if it was relevant, yep that's a crime. Everyone involved was very apologetic, the news said.
@admitsWrongIfProven It would prevent content from showing in your federated feed yes.. only way youd see content from there is if you follow someone who boosts it (boosts dont show in federated feed I dont think)... if you want to be safe you may wish to block the instance on your account level.. I am a bit concerned though to just leave them open on any level if they have child porn.
