@Terra@chaosfem.tw @Impossible_PhD My suggestion is that there is nothing wrong with autistic people, but awareness for them is some half-hearted effort that would need to go much further. The problems i see, they affect everyone. Everyone is masking, everyone is suffering.

If someone is suffering more because they are more sensitive, OF COURSE they should get special attention. But the problem in itself is society, noting wrong with anyone autistic. Just normal people more sensitive than average. Being sensitive is good. "able to sense".

Really, nothing i ever heard about autism was ever strange, just antisocial behaviour by others that needs to be dealt with. Living is exhausting, and i am neither diagnosed nor think i would be if i went to a doctor.

Stop humans from being dicks to each other.

@admitsWrongIfProven I am strongly reminded of all the trans girls who are astonished to learn that men do not actually harbour secret desires to be women. Have you ever considered that descriptions of how autistic people experience the world might seem unremarkable to you because you are, perhaps, an undiagnosed autistic yourself?

@AnCuRuadh @Terra@chaosfem.tw @Impossible_PhD Like i said, i do not think i would be diagnosed.
Everything ever described to me seems reasonable. Trying to frame it in "that is autism" would seem dismissive to me - the feelings described are just what everyone feels. Just that most people do not have the confidence to admit that. No wonder, confessing your feelings gets you clobbered, usually. I did learn that, as a neurotypical, and learned to brush off uncertaintiy. Makes life easier.

@admitsWrongIfProven >the feelings described are just what everyone feels.

No. No they are not.

@AnCuRuadh I am pretty sure that the few people hoarding most of humanities riches are causing most of the problems we face in everyday life.

Btw, i really appreciate your way of conducting conversations. Very focussed, productive.

Anyway, everything i heard about autism is something that neurotypical people experience too. Possibly not as strong, possibly they dismiss the problem as they were taught to - which does not make it better!

I was asking what is different, i have not seen anything actually different. Anything i saw as a problem was something that would be a problem for any human.

They are being dicks. Don't revert back into a diagnosis. They hurt all of us, let us push back together. The world should be livable for all human beings, next we should make it livable for animals. Everything else is just evil people trying to divide us.

@admitsWrongIfProven >Anyway, everything i heard about autism is something that neurotypical people experience too.

This is untrue. I can tell you that from personal experience. There are very distinct and obvious differences.

@admitsWrongIfProven Try asking a neurotypical person how their experiences differ from yours. I don't engage with bad faith arguments or the people who make them. :blobfoxangry:

@admitsWrongIfProven >Just that most people do not have the confidence to admit that.

Most people do not admit to masking because because most people are neurotypical and therefore do not mask. I don't know what's so confusing about this. :blobfoxconfused:

>I ... learned to brush off uncertaintiy. Makes life easier.

You had to *learn* how do deal with uncertainty? Ffs, that is not a neurotypical trait! :blobfoxconfused:

@AnCuRuadh It seems to me that you are trying to divide people, not something i think is helpful. Can you elaborate on why you do this?

@admitsWrongIfProven Don't waste my time with bad faith arguments. I made simple, direct assertations of well-known, well-proven facts. If you want to engage in silly conspiracy theories take it elsewhere. :blobfoxangry:

@AnCuRuadh I understand. I wish you the very best and will not contact you again. Please contact @freemo to tell me to remove the block if you ever feel like it.

@admitsWrongIfProven

This person had me block, had to view the thread in an anonymous window to even read it.

I more or less agree with you with one caveat: Autism absolutely is real, its just the vast majority of normal people are IMO misdiagnosed as Autistic. The more severe less functioning cases are quite obvious and I think it would be hard to deny there is a real condition there. But the vast majority of people where it isnt apparent I am fairly certain are almost all misdiagnosed.

I actually came to this realization a few years ago after a long conversation with a psych on the topic.

@AnCuRuadh

@freemo Well, i think society is the problem. Abuse people, expect problems.
Anyway, i hope it is ok for you that i told them to contact you of they want further contact... a bit presumptious of me to just assume that was ok.

@admitsWrongIfProven I dont mind at all, but considering that they have me blocked I wouldnt get your hopes up.

And I agree that it is a society thing. In fact I'd argue it is largely a US and to a lesser extent UK thing. The social encironment right now is such that if you act respectful and normal you will be ahuge target. It makes people think they cant read peoples emotions (basically autism) when in gact its reallyother people whoa re emotionally unstable and go off half-hinged with little or no provocation.

Basically the way I see it instead of the small handful of people diagnosed as Autistic being the ones with the disease, they are mostly the normal healthy people. Its everyone else, the vast majority, who have developed personality disorders that is the real problem. Its just easier to say a minority have autism than to say a majority of the population all have a disorder like a personality disorder.

@freemo And yeah, they might not have a real path to reconnect, but honestly i do not care. Tell me twice i do bad faith when i try, whatever. I am not the godfather of salvation, if they want someone to talk to it does not have to be me. I will, but i am not their parent/responsible.

@freemo I think they tried. I hold that person in high esteem, but i separate myself to stay sane. They did argue well up to the point where they went mean. If they ever contact you, tell me to remove the block. They are not a bad person, that i am sure of.

@admitsWrongIfProven I am not saying they are a bad person, or that they argued with bad faith from the get go. What is clear is they got frustrated that they werent winning the argument and that you were making a counter argument they couldnt fully disprove. When that happened they switched to bad-faith as they got emotional.

@freemo I disagree. They started out well, and at some point i was asking something they did not know. That created a controversy, and they responded by pushing me away. That is completely ok, they did nothing wrong. They just don't know all the answers, and i pulled the rug to make sure i don't get mean. I broke up conversation to be sure i would not be inappropriate. I can be, you know that.

It was never about winning, it was about understanding. They did not know the thing i crave to know.
