Ok, trying to figure this out.

We have tons of people suffering, no clean drinking water or no money to buy food, health services available but fiscally out of reach.

So we want to improve on those things, generally. Not much of an argument, maybe a bit of "what to improve first", but generally i guess we all (most of us) want to do this.

Lots of distractions, like who gets killed more in a fight, rallying people to some flag. Some politicians fighting, but it is clear that both don't want to improve stuff for us, people rallying to one of them.

Why do we do this? Why not form a position and reason out with others how to do that? Are we so tribal that we just flock to a leader, are we that primitive?

What could i do, what could we do to improve? Is it as hopeless as it seems?

I understand that hatred and division is easier than explaining and understanding, but is there really no chance to get anything useful done?
