I've been using xfce4-terminal + Zellij for a while. Now I want to try something completely different:

Emacs + vterm

A big step toward Never Leaving Emacs.

Things I want to do:

- bind term-paste to something
- tweak the terminal scrolling somehow - it's a bit choppy
- find if there is a way to rename vterm buffers, similar to how I can set the tab names in Zellij
- find a way to integrate my zsh keybindings with Emacs

#emacs

@hyperreal

new in #emacs 29.1

(setq frame-resize-pixelwise t)

will improve scrolling

@dekkzz76 @hyperreal Does it help scrolling? I thought it keeps the frame from sizing to character height and width, which I guess could help tangentially. And it's not new for 29.1, but has been around longer.

Maybe you mean (pixel-scroll-precision-mode t) ? That does improve scrolling if you have a good enough mouse.
