@beowulf @mo8it @ambihelical Is there already a desktop editor for #Typst for the non-IT folks?
@twwd @beowulf @ambihelical One could use any editor with the CLI. But for non-IT people, I would just recommend the official web UI. It also enable real time collaboration!
@ambihelical I just started using it today, but I heard a lot about it. I will definitely write my master thesis in it. I am just in love 🥰
I used LaTeX a lot at my university and Typst feels like a much more modern, well thought and well integrated option. Plus it is ultra fast!
@ambihelical@qoto.org I use it for serious stuff (Project reports at university, privat stuff).
I used to be a heavy latex user (used it even for a witness statement :D), but I have to say the syntax of Typst and how easy it is to style a page is what pushed me to it. And especially if you work with people who haven't used a typesetting tool before, it's simply gold, because everyone learns the syntax quickly. - I have already moved some people away from Word with Typst.
