@Johnyoungc45 @fencoul religion and state should be kept well separated. I’m not even sure what the fundamentals of Christianity are any more, they seem to be increasingly hate, division, exclusion and right wing politics. No wonder more and more people are leaving organised religion behind.

I do appreciate that words like fundamental and conservative have unfortunately changed their meanings in common use.
@fencoul @Johnyoungc45 when the Old Testament became a tad too scary even for it’s day, they magicked up a new version. This collection of agenda driven stories, assembled by misogynist old men, is now also 2,000 years out of date. It is less about stoning, killing and sacrifices, but people still find it full of excuses to hate, divide, threaten, murder, fight wars and generally commit genocide. So, other than threatening eternal damnation I’m not sure what the fundamentals are 🤷🏻♀️

There's also a bit in the New BS-tament where Jehoosus says all the stuff in the Old BS-tament is still 'valid'. I forget where now.
