A must-listen podcast featuring law Professor Nomi Stolzenberg discussing the US Supreme Court’s consideration of Conservative Christian ideology as a new protected class. As commentators here state, given that 7 of the current 9 justices of the Supreme Court are Catholic or were raised Catholic, it is reasonable to question the influence that religion may be having on their decisions.
Thanks to @jackiegardina for this link.
@wdlindsy @jackiegardina One thing that we ion the ground can do is to sow dissention between the Catholics and the Evangelicals. They only tolerate each other to get their precious abortion ban, but they have a long history of animosity that we can exploit if we play our carsds right. Drive a wedge! Taking the high road hasn't worked and won't work. FIGHT DIRTY!
@wdlindsy @jackiegardina Tied at the hip maybe, but it's a loose knot. Any allegiance they have is tenuous, and now that they have what they were working towards, there is no incentive left to keep them from together.
Make a fake account pretending to be a fan of some far-right hack, and say something along the lines of "boy I sure am glad that president Trump gave us so many Catholics on the Supreme Court. I can' t wait until the whole country is Catholic."
Maybe that sounds over the top, but I bet it would work.
Time to take off the gloves
