Reminder: "Did not immediately respond" and "was not immediately available for comment" are uninformative and unfair bits of journalese. How is any publicist or source supposed to respond "immediately" if they're not face to face with the reporter? And why should a reader who sees those phrases not think that the reporter sent a message requesting comment "immediately" before filing the story?

@robpegoraro Corporate media is irrelevant and anachronistic. As Jello Biafra said, "Don't hate the media; become the media."

@ambulocetus So it's cool if a citizen journalist adopts this unhelpful verbiage? Really not sure where you're going with this...

@robpegoraro Are being obtuse on purpose? I thought my "verbiage" was simple and clear.

@ambulocetus First, "verbiage" wasn't referring to your post at all. Second, as a standalone post, yes, it was clear enough. But as a reply, it read as if you were answering some other post.

@robpegoraro The quotes around the word "verbiage" weren't because I thought you were refering to my post. I was mocking you. You used the word in an incorrect manner; something one would think a so-called freelance journalist would know.

@ambulocetus Thanks for making it clear you're not trying to have a serious conversation. Bye!
