the realization that there are almost no interesting old people left now. no great stories. no tales of the olden days which really were different. boomers effectively lived their whole life in the same world we are in, only that things were improving all the time.

@bonifartius It only took 25 years after the end of WWII before man stepped foot on the Moon. If we had kept the same rate of advancement, we would have flying cars and hotels on Mars. Instead, we elected Reagan.
