@birdpoof I wonder if they just don't know that quiet fireworks exist.
I suspect half the stuff I hear are illegal-- explosive and aerial fireworks are illegal in my state except when used by professionals (which I expect tonight), so I wonder if regular ones are cheaper or the stuff sold across the border simply aren't that variety. And, I bet the kind of people who buy and use illegal fireworks here love the boom regardless of all the downsides (wildlife, pets, ptsd, environment, fire hazard). The kind of people who set these off well after 1 am throughout the month are probably sociopaths who take glee in others' discomfort, after all. 🤷🏽♀️
@birdpoof I live in a state where the other states come to buy the stuff, so I'm hearing a lot of booms. Maybe I'm just an old curmudgeon, but I don't even care to watch the professional fireworks anymore, and those are much more interesting than the kid next door. I'm just watching youtube and scrolling through here, and that's enough for me.
